The Doghouse is located downtown and has 10 TVs. It is owned by a former NMU Rugby player and many rugby players frequent the bar, however it is still popular amongst all students.
Remi's is a dive'ish bar downtown.
The Third Base is a bar with TVs so you can watch sports.
Vango's is a restaurant and bar with Greek food.
The Vierling brews their own beer and is also a restaurant. They also have views of the Lake, but you might want to make a reservation for those seats.
The Landmark Inn (http://www.thelandmarkinn.com/) is a historic hotel with a restaurant and bar downstairs. I believe it's the only place in town with a night for folks of different sexual orientations. Also check out the more "swanky" North Star lounge upstairs - It's got the highest of view of Lake Superior downtown.
The Matrixx is a nightclub with a DJ and a large dance floor
Upfront and Co. is a live music venue and restaurant
